Art

Using a tooth outline, I have my kids
use a toothbrush to paint.(See picture under bulletin board ideas.)
They can use it like a paintbrush or
using their finger to pull the bristles back. (They use a rubber
glove before we do this.) This is a splatter paint effect.

Math Ideas

Using a cube, I place three
graphics on it. The kids roll and shade that box in on the graph.
I use the book, Quick Snips. This is great for lots of small icons.
Roll a die, put that many marshmallows
on the diagram. (Check out AtoZTeacherstuff.com)
Graph the number of teeth lost in class
Using teeth die cuts, label one
with the numeral and one with the word. You could also
program one with small teeth stickers

Science

Soak an egg in soda and one in water.
Predict the end result.
Using 1/2 an egg carton and string
have the childern "floss" the egg carton.
Have small mirrors for kids to see
their own teeth.
Here are some pictures of two of the props
that I have in my science center. The first one is just a large
board with parts of the mouth, which are all labeled.(However, I
don't know all the parts... yet! lol) the second and third pictures
are teeth that you can take apart. These have numbers also.

ABC ideas

On small tooth and brush outlines
have kids place them in abc order. I use a pattern for this.
Have small tooth outlines programmed
on a sheet. For each tooth, have kids write a word.

I Had a Loose Tooth
I had a loose tooth, a wiggly, jiggly loose tooth.
I had a loose tooth, hanging by a thread.
So I pulled my loose tooth, this wiggly, jiggly loose tooth.
And put it 'neath the pillow when I went up to bed.
The fairies took my loose tooth, my wiggly, jiggly loose tooth.
So now I have a nickel and a hole in my head.

My Wobbly Tooth
Once I had a wobbly tooth
That wobbled to and fro,
Every time I ate my toast
I thought the tooth would go.
But then I ate a candy,
A sticky toffee roll,

There's nothing but a hole!

Wiggly Tooth

Take close ups of your kids mouths and
see if everyone can figure out who's are who's



This is my February BB
I took tagboard and drew a heart. I cut it apart and LABELED it.
Then I gave one piece to all my kids rolled up and
placed in a toilet paper roll. That is a great holder
This was their family project for February. The teeth you
see were painted with tooth brushes.
