Five little froggies sat on a shore
(Children crouch in a row like frogs)
One went for a swim, then there were four
(First frog leaps and swims off)
Four little froggies

Looked out to sea
(Children put hand at brow and look out to sea)
One went swimming, and then there were three
(Second frog leaps and swims off)
Three little froggies said "What can we do?"
(Children crouch, and repeat)
One jumped in the water, then there were two
(Third frog leaps and swims off)
Two little froggies sat in the sun
(Children crouch)
One swam off, and then there was one
(Fourth frog leaps and swims off)
One little froggie said "This is no fun!"

Frog Activities
Lily Pads
Cut out lily pad shapes from large white construction paper. Have the children paint them green, and after they dry write each child's name on them. Laminate them so you can use them for the activities below.
Lily Pad Jump
Set out the lily pads on the floor. Have the children hop from one lily pad to another.
Lily Pad Musical Chairs
Set out the lily pads on the floor in a circle. Have the children walk around the circle of lily pads. When the music stops have the children race to their favorite lily pad. Every child should have a lily pad to stand on.
Lily Pad Circle Time
Set out the Lily Pads on the floor in a circle. Have each child sit on his/her own lily pad for circle time.
Lily Pad Placemat
Make lily pads for placemats. Use instructions above.
Green Jello
Uhhh... Serve green jello.
Paper Plate Frog
Have children paint half a paper plate green. Have the children glue on white eyes, and a red tongue. Attach a popsicle stick behind the tongue.
Paper Bag Frogs
Have the children paint a small lunch paper bag green. Have the children glue on eyes to the bottom of the bag, as if it were the frogs face, and a tongue.
Pretend to Be A Frog
I think we all know how to hop like a frog. Show your child how to.
Where do Frogs Live?
Talk to your child about where frogs live. In a pond, swamp, deserts, gardens, rain forests, etc. What is the weather like there?
