Marshmallow Bug-
Students will use Marshmallows,
Peanut Butter, Pretzel Sticks, Potato Chips, Chocolate Chips, and Licorice Sticks to create their own edible insect. They will use their knowledge of insects to have the correct parts of the insect.

Science Activities
Bug Display -
Each Student is responsible for bringing in 3 different insects. We will display these on a tray in the room. The students will use duplicate bugs for
investigation.
Bug Investigation-
Students will use the duplicate bugs to weigh, measure, look under the microscope, and dissect the varies parts of a bug.
Ant Journal
Students will observe the Ant Farm daily and write or draw one fact that they witness.
Firefly Observation
Students will observe captured
Fireflies in both light and darkness
(using our student created star laboratory.
